Who We Are
Welcome to St Austell Printing Company. Your friendly printing experts, here to help you produce quality, effective and sustainable print.
At St Austell Printing Company we’ve nurtured nearly 40 years of experience and expertise to develop an outstanding printing company. Cutting edge equipment, first class print knowledge and a committed, trustworthy team combine – ensuring you get exceptional service, tailored to your needs.
The company started as Kwik Print in 1981, a small, local high street photocopy shop in St Austell town centre.
From these humble beginnings the company has gradually evolved in to an outstanding family-run commercial printing company.
We moved in to our state of the art sustainable building in 2013, offering a full range of in-house services including digital and litho printing, artwork & design, finishing & bindery, specialist finishing and mailing & fulfilment.
From short-run digital printing with quick turnarounds, to complex long-run projects – we have the expertise and facilities to help with your next project.
Plus, because all the printing and finishing of our core products happens under one roof, this guarantees quality, great turnaround times and of course a level of sustainability that’s hard to match. We are very proud to be the only printing company to be presented with an official “Made in Cornwall” accreditation by Cornwall Council as recognition of our manufacturing processes.
Our friendly team are here to help you get the most out of your investment in printed materials.
Continued investment
We see ourselves as a progressive, pro-active company and we value the benefits of consistent re-investment. Over the last few years we have continued to invest in new machinery, increased staff and improved systems and processes.
In particular, in the last five years we have invested in two new Heidelberg B2 litho presses, a Ryobi SRA1 litho press featuring LED-UV Technology, new Konica Minolta and Xerox digital presses, large format print machines, state-of-the-art folding machines, guillotines, playing card finishing equipment and a full specialist finishing department.
We also provide a full fulfilment and mailing service in-house and we continue to invest in this service which offers flexible fulfilment solutions and efficient data management and mailing services.
We continue to upgrade our systems and software ensuring that we have the latest pre-press software to support the highest quality pre-flight and colour management systems and continue to develop our print management system to support improved customer service.
Looking after the environment
We’re committed to sustainable working practices and to reducing the environmental impact of all our activity. In fact, we’ve been named the UK’s most environmentally-friendly Printing Company, winning a total of four major sustainability awards in the last 18 months.
We built our print factory to be efficient using sustainable materials, have one of Cornwall’s largest roof-based solar panel arrays powering our factory and were awarded an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating – the world’s leading sustainability assessment for buildings.
When it comes to printing, we’re constantly working to increase our efficiency and capacity to deliver the highest sustainability standards. From new energy-efficient machinery to ongoing carbon-cutting projects – there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make sure we offer the most sustainable services in the UK.
