Kevin’s charity pedal to Paris raises over £11,000

Cornwall Hospice Care is an organisation very close to our hearts, and that’s why we’re especially proud of our Prepress & Production Manager Kevin Brokenshire who has pedalled his way to raising a massive sum of cash for the charity.
Last week Kevin and his friend Wayne Moriarty cycled from London to Paris, a distance of 300 miles. Over £11,000 has been raised through sponsorship by family and friends, with the boys cycling over 1500 miles during their training regime.
Cornwall Hospice Care is a charity that provides specialist care for people with terminal illnesses. Their nursing teams support patients and their families at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell, St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle and in Cornwall’s hospitals, care homes and where necessary, in the community. The charity also runs a 24 hour advice line for other healthcare professionals.
Kevin said: “We undertook this challenge in memory of lost family and friends which gave us determination and motivation.
“It was not too hard due to the amount of training, and it was a great feeling when we finished cycling round the Arc De Triomphe and up to the Eiffel Tower with crowds clapping and cheering.
“It’s great to have raised that amount for a really great cause and we are hoping to get more in in the next week or so.
“Thank you to everyone that has supported our challenge.”
