Big prizes up for grabs at Hollyfest 2020

Over 70 fabulous prizes are up for grabs in a special raffle, raising money for a cause which holds a very personal significance to us here at SAPC.

Hollyfest 2020 is taking place over the weekend of 29th Feb & 1st March with live music at both the Frog and Fiddle and the Brewhouse and Kitchen in Cheltenham. The fundraiser is to support charity Reverse Rett and Friends of Holly.

Holly is the Grandchild of SAPC Directors Peter and Amanda Moody. Her mum Emma Boyes will be a familiar face to many SAPC clients as she used to oversee our national sales.

Born on the 6th October 2008 Holly was a beautiful healthy girl. She developed normally until about 12 months, then very slowly started losing skills. Holly was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at 2 1/2 years old.

A neurological condition Rett Syndrome often strikes previously healthy little girls leaving them with multiple disabilities and medical complexities.

Emma said: “From that day of diagnosis our world fell apart. All our dreams and hopes for our beautiful baby girl had gone and we were having to set new ones, but what were they? We had no idea.”

Reverse Rett was founded by parents who joined together to raise money to fund research that will have a practical and positive effect on their children’s lives, and speed the development of treatments and cures.

Alongside the event, a raffle featuring over 70 fantastic prizes is also taking place to help raise funds. It features a wide range of exceptional prizes donated by individuals and businesses alike. We must say a particular thank you to the following Cornish businesses who have offered their support with the following prizes:

  • St Michaels Resort, Falmouth (one night stay for two in a Beach House Room with breakfast)
  • Budock Vean, Helford Passage (four course dinner for 2 people)
  • The Alverton Hotel, Truro (one night stay for two, cocktails on arrival and breakfast)
  • The Eden Project (family entrance ticket)
  • The Kingswood Restaurant St Austell (£100 voucher)

Other prizes include a £1,500 VIP package for 4 to a Liverpool game, 2 tickets to see Diana Ross at the O2 and a pair of tickets to watch Westlife at Wembley Stadium.
