Join our team as a Pre-Press Operator and Estimator

St Austell Printing Company is celebrating another year of growth and we’re looking for someone to join us as a Pre-Press Operator and Estimator.

We’re sorry, but applications for this position have now closed.

Every day we’re producing quality, sustainable print for clients across the UK. This position is in our busy pre-press and estimating department –  a team at the heart of the day-to-day running of the business.

You’ll be directly liaising with clients and offering advice on their print, putting together estimates, helping plan projects and using specialist equipment to output printing plates for our busy pressroom.

No print experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is extremely confident with IT; in particular using Apple Macs. Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite of products would be very beneficial.
  • Is willing to learn.
  • Is approachable, patient, friendly and a good communicator. You’ll be dealing directly with our clients, suppliers and colleagues across the business.

This new position is a unique opportunity to develop new skills and learn from our experienced team. As we produce all core elements of our printing and finishing under one roof, you will get a first-hand understanding of a full range of printing and finishing processes.

You’ll be working in one of the UK’s most modern printing facilities, for a family-run company which sees constant re-investment and growth across all our departments. In fact, it’s a particularly exciting time we’ve just undertaken a significant investment programme across our whole business – meaning you’ll be working with the very latest equipment.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (1hr unpaid lunch break per day). Overtime may be required. This position is based in our Factory in St Austell.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

Closing date for applications: Monday 17th February 2020

We’re sorry, but applications for this position have now closed.
