StAustell.co.uk Community Website launched

A new website designed to help promote and support the vibrant communities of St Austell and the surrounding areas has been launched.

StAustell.co.uk provides a multi-facetted destination site for visitors, locals residents and businesses. Developed by a local team over the last 12 months, it features original articles and content about the area. This includes local walks, dog-friendly days out, details on local clubs and organisations combined with community information, an interactive map and business directory.

Local groups and organisations are also invited to submit their upcoming events to a free comprehensive guide hosted on the site. The website is being run in conjunction with a regularly updated Facebook page and Twitter account and has been designed for use across all desktop computers, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.

The website has been developed by SABEF (St Austell Bay Economic Forum), a group of local businesses, public bodies and community organisations to help the St Austell Bay area realise its full potential. The eye-catching site uses bold colours and graphics from the “fresh green futures” branding which was unveiled by the group earlier this year.

St Austell Printing Company is proud to be a founding member of SABEF, with our Managing Director Peter Moody acting as the group’s Vice-Chair.

SABEF Chair James Staughton said: “”The new website provides a valuable and unique platform to showcase St Austell and tol help people find out easily all that’s going on in our area. I am really grateful to the team who created staustell.co.uk and now urge everyone to visit and start using the site. With the community’s support, ideas and input I am confident staustell.co.uk will soon become an integral and valuable addition to our digital lives.”

The website can be viewed at www.StAustell.co.uk. The team are looking to evolve and expand the site over the coming months and are very interested in any feedback or comments on the site and it’s content – you can email them on hello@staustell.co.uk.
