For this year’s Christmas Card, we commissioned local artist Hannah Beech to create a special piece of art celebrating the landmarks which sit on our doorstep.
This includes the historic Charlestown Harbour with it’s tall ships, the world-famous Eden Project and the iconic pyramid-shaped sky tip – a unique landmark stood proudly overlooking St Austell.
Matt Bunt, SAPC’s Marketing and Communications Manager said “We wanted a Christmas card which not only stood out, but also promoted St Austell and our pride in the community we’re lucky enough to call home.
“We really liked the style of Hannah’s work and glad that she’s been able to create such a unique piece of art for us.
“As well as featuring on our Christmas Cards, there is a large print of the artwork taking pride of place in our Conference Centre, where it will be seen by our 16,000 delegates per year.”
Hannah said: “I’ve been creating illustrations of Cornish places for a couple of years now and was delighted to be asked to come up with a bespoke image for SAPC. There are some great landmarks in the St Austell area and the contemporary SAPC building was a joy to draw too!
“I think using SAPC’s own ‘corporate’ colour palette has really worked, creating an illustration that’s ‘on brand’ as well as being unique and a little bit quirky.”
