We’re committed to promoting and providing training and opportunities for local people. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that SAPC are sponsoring the upcoming Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards 2019.
St Austell Printing Company are sponsoring the Accountancy Apprentice of the Year category, which is looking to recognise young people who have shown exceptional contributions to the workplace as well as their personal and professional achievements.
The awards ceremony is being held at Truro and Penwith College in November.
Peter Moody, SAPC’s Managing Director said: “As a family-run company with a commitment to both our local economy and the manufacturing sector in general, we feel it’s important to support local talent and develop the next generation. That’s why we’re pleased to sponsor this year’s awards.”
Operating since 1981, family-run St Austell Printing Company moved into it’s purpose-built sustainable factory on the outskirts of the town in 2013 and provides printing, mailing and fulfilment services to businesses across the UK.
Beth Mayman, SAPC’s Operations Manager said: “Over the last 18 months we’ve made significant investments in expanding our range of in-house services and nearly every aspect of our manufacturing process is now under one roof, here in Cornwall.
“This means that we’ve been able to provide additional skilled employment to local people, including our own print apprentice Lucy, who has seen an exceptional level of progress and has become a valuable member of our print team.
“We look forward to hearing the stories and achievements of all the finalists on the night and celebrating with the winners in November.”
Nominations are now open for the awards. You can find out more here.
