SAPC 2022 Calendar Aims for “A Carbon Balanced World”

The much-anticipated SAPC Calendar is currently being bound ready to welcome in the New Year with another selection of fantastic artwork from final year Illustration students at Falmouth University.

This year’s theme is all about Carbon Balancing and the ambition of reaching a Carbon Neutral world.  At St Austell Printing Company, we combine our passion for print with a commitment to sustainable practice and reducing our impact on the environment.  We are now working towards being Carbon Neutral.  We have started on this journey by offsetting our entire operational carbon footprint in association with the World Land Trust, joining a small select group of UK printing companies to be certified as a “Carbon Balanced Printer”.

The artwork in this year’s calendar, which will sit on the desk of over 2000 of SAPC’s customers and friends, has been selected for its clear, strong messages that inspire, educate and enlighten the view around the topic of climate change and carbon neutral living.

The calendar features 13 illustrations, one for each month and one for the front cover.  Alongside the illustrations, the calendar showcases the specialist finishing SAPC offers, such as foiling or spot UV finishing, in many of the designs,

The entire production process takes place in-house, where thousands of the calendars are designed, printed and finished before being sent through our mailing and fulfilment department to clients and friends across the UK.

In previous years, many students whose artwork was chosen for the calendar have found it opened job opportunities for them.  This year we hope that as well as enhancing the careers of the talented young artists featured, it will also help inspire and educate those who enjoy the illustrations to join us in our quest for a Carbon Balanced World.

Thank you to all the students who took part in this year’s project.
