Carbon Balanced Printers
St Austell Printing Company are proud to be one of a handful of printers in the UK to be an official “Carbon Balanced Printer”.
This means we’ve offset the full operational carbon footprint of your print.
Sustainability and the environment is at the heart of everything we do. We’re always looking for ways to limit our impact on the world around us – so choosing to offset the carbon footprint of our entire manufacturing operation was an obvious choice to make.
We are proud to be one of a handful of printers in the UK to become an official “Carbon Balanced Printer”. The certification is attained by offsetting the company’s entire operational carbon footprint, through the purchase of endangered tropical habitat. This is part of a scheme operated by the World Land Trust, of which Sir David Attenborough is a Patron.
In the first year, St Austell Printing Company has committed to protecting and restoring 26 acres of tropical forest in Khe Nuoc Trong – one of the best remaining examples of lowland forest in the Annamite Mountains of Central Vietnam. This equates to the equivalent of around 15 football pitches.
Carbon Balanced Printers such as us differentiate themselves as leaders on the environment, and carbon management, and are the only ones licensed to use the unique Carbon Balanced Print Logo.
What does this mean for my print?
|By combining using SAPC as your printing partner with carbon-balanced paper, your print can carry the highly recognisable World Land Trust logo, to communicate your support and Corporate Responsibility.||The total amount of CO2 Balanced and land area preserved is quantified in a unique certificate which you can use in your environmental reporting and marketing.|
|The cost to carbon-balance your entire printing project isn’t actually that much. In fact, depending on the choice of paper stock it could even be free!||You can be rest-assured that your printed materials are being produced in the most-sustainable way possible – by the UK’s most environmentally-friendly printing company.|
