Book is award winner!

A charity cookbook which was designed and printed by St Austell Printing Company has scooped a prestigious award at a recent publishing awards.

Last year we worked closely with Cornwall Hospice Care on the Great Cornish Cake Bake Cake Book, which featured recipes from local people including SAPC’s own Mark Naylor.

It was entered for the Holyer an Gof Publisher’s Awards. The scheme aims to promote books about Cornwall, set in Cornwall or in Cornish.  Each year over 80 books are submitted by publishers from Cornwall and beyond and these are read and evaluated by members of a panel of Readers.

It won the booklets class at the ceremony which took place at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro.

The book was masterminded by the charity’s community fundraiser Judy Lawton and designed by SAPC designer Ben Pipe. If you don’t have a copy of the book yet, you can buy it for £6.99 in any Cornwall Hospice Care shop, hospice receptions or from the Fundraising Office at Daniels Lane in St Austell.
